Along with other elements colour is one of the most powerful tools in filmmaking. It is a way of conveying symbolism, setting,mood, and evoking emotions.universally colours are linked with certain emotions and ideas. by choosing the write colour filmmakers can subtly guide audiences emotional response.


RED:The colour red is widely used to symbolize passion,love or danger. whether its a tense scene or romantic scene red hues can heighten emotional intensity. 

BLUE: Blue is mostly used to represent isolation,sadness or pondering. 

GREEN: Often green signals to growth or envy.

yellow: Yellow can mean two things either hope or caution.


COLOUR & MOOD

WARM COLOURS: colours like Red or Orange create a sense of tension or comfort depending on the context. 

COOL COLOURS: Colours like Green or Blue create a sense of calmness or dread depending on the context each colour can depict one of these meanings.


COLOUR TRANSITION & CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

Even colours can evolve throughout the film representing the development of a character emotional journey. Transition of colours are often used by filmmaker to mark a significant change in the narrative. for instance if your film starts with vibrant colours but slowly transition into darker hues that can symbolize the descent into chaos or despair.
